Artist statement
“Eternal Tales” is a modern Metal EP that I created to experiment with combining modern metal music with orchestral elements. I wrote all the guitar, bass, synth and orchestral elements, with Dani Stefanoski cowriting and recording most of the vocals and Nathan Tewi providing drums.
I decided to make the lyrics political and went with an anti-war theme using vampires as an allegory for war. I felt that vampires were a fitting theme due to them being portrayed as immortal, and war seems to be never-ending. Each song explores the concept of war from a different perspective. “Eternally Hunted” reflects being in a war-torn country, “Changing” explores the beginnings of a new war, and ‘Remnants’ addresses the end of a war where hostility still lingers.
Every song is in a different time signature and utilises complex rhythms. My girlfriend, Isabelle Phillips made the cover art, and this EP will be extended further and released everywhere in early 2027.
