Artist statement
My creative capstone project is a three-track Indie-Pop EP titled “OutStayed”, exploring my personal experiences, memories and emotions throughout my twenties and university years. The three tracks “Unopened”, “Camera” and “Stick Around” will create a cohesive story, covering different memories, themes and timelines such as heartbreak, relationships, confusion, loss and emotional closure.
I will be using this EP as a capsule to preserve memories that I consider as one of the most impactful moments of my life, emotions and experiences that have moulded me into becoming a better person, and lessons that I will forever hold through the future.
For the final concert I will be performing the final track “Stick Around” on the Acoustic Guitar and Vocals, accompanied by Isaac Sybell on the Bass, Ethan Tudor on the Drums, and Ben Chin on the Synth.
