Artist Bio
Jack Crowley is a musician, producer, sound engineer and DJ from Tathra, NSW. Currently studying Creative Arts at the University of Wollongong, he creates energetic and original music as Crowza (electronic), and with the band Sega Jade (post-punk). His creative works explore collective experiences, emotion and atmosphere through composition, performance and production.
Artist Statement
For my major project I have created a four-track EP with themes centred around Humanitarian Issues. The tracks were made through a post-punk lens, incorporating older DIY, post-punk ethos and modern digital applications to create something that is new and refreshing but still holds warmth. For this project, I collaborated with Aden Jones (Guitar and Vocals), Nathan Tewi (Drums) and Tom Duffy (Synth and Vocals).
All instruments were recorded individually in the studio, with the synths being built from emulators and custom presets then exported into the main project of each song. Artwork will be included with the final product which will be released early next year under the alias of Sega Jade.
The recording and mixing processes were handled by Aden Jones, Angus Kettley, and myself.
