Artist Bio
Indiana Homsy is a singer-songwriter from Sydney who writes music with folky, indie-rock and pop undertones. Only just beginning to delve further into the world of lyric writing and production work, Indiana’s practice is driven by her own life experiences. She aims for listeners to feel inspired and motivated by her music to activate self-healing practices amongst those experiencing heartbreak or adversity.
Artist Statement
My major project, Hotel Home, is a three-song EP that captures my personal journey of growth and self-discovery, finding peace with who I am, understanding what and who has shaped me, recognising what I stand for, and embracing the tranquillity of simply being. Each song tells its own story, contributing to the central message that “home is where the heart is,” and, ultimately, realising that home is me!
The EP features three tracks: ‘Hotel Home’, ‘Summer’, and ‘Mirror’, which each reflect the EP’s core theme of finding contentment and inner peace amidst the heartbreaks and challenges we face in life. A big thank you to my amazing drummer Connor Sandison, as well as my beautiful acoustic guitarist and back-up vocalist, Chelsea Daghita for collaborating with me on all tracks for this project!
All songs were recorded in the UOW Music Recording Studio, and mixed and mastered using the Ableton Software facilities.
