Artist Bio
Chelsea Daghita is a singer-songwriter who creates music with Logic Pro, a range of guitars, and a MIDI keyboard, alongside many other instruments and alternative sounds.
She began her creative performance journey with her band Finding Darcy, and now works as a solo artist in the Illawarra region, crafting vulnerable, raw, and moving music as she continues to build her artistic profile.
Artist Statement
My project, Apollo, is a 3-track EP revolving around reminiscence. It reflects how and when you look at moments in your past, they become clearer and maybe slightly different to how you understood them at that time.
The project solidified in the later weeks of the semester, when I stripped everything back to my roots of simple acoustic guitar and vocals. I found comfort in being able to reminisce, and the opportunity to take ugly moments and make them beautiful in my own uncomfortable, underlying, allusive way.
For this EP, I sing and play both the Acoustic and Electric Guitar, with Connor Sandison on Drums and Cole Park on Bass Guitar. I recorded these tracks in a span of 4 weeks, with the final song names being: ‘No Where To Be Found’, ‘What You Do To Me’ and ‘Apollo’.
