Artist Bio
Finn Harding is a musician who has composed an eclectic collection of music over his three-year journey at the University of Wollongong. He has been playing electric guitar for 7 years, drawing influence from bands like The Cure and The Murlocs to blend into his own compositions.
Artist Statement
My project, Criminal, is a 3-track series based on the graphic novel of the same name (2006-Present) written by Ed Brubaker and illustrated by Sean Philips. It is a spoken word audio story which follows three protagonists committing different crimes over a 24-hour period. These stories take place in America, with references to locations and characters from the graphic novel. The story depicts multiple levels of crime, from someone’s first murder, to crime families and the actions of a seasoned killer. To make the characters feel real, I included elements of sound design to add more depth to my piece. The whole project was self-produced, mixed and recorded over a 3-month period.
