Artist Bio
Abi is a singer/songwriter passionate about her music practice. She has been singing and playing guitar for many years, contributing as a big inspiration towards how she writes her music.
Currently completing a Bachelor of Music at the University of Wollongong, she hopes to connect people through her music and lyrics.
Artist Statement
Letters To is a project I enjoyed making over this final semester. The concept for the three-track EP stemmed from the idea of words left unsaid – saying the things you wish that you had said to someone, but never did (whether it be for positive or negative reasons). Each song in this EP is based around a different person I have known in my life, with personal lyrics reflecting on three different situations where I wish I had said more than I did.
This project would not have been possible to accomplish without my collaborators: Rosie Dempsey, my studio partner and bass player, Will Coleman on lead guitar, and Victor Strange on drums. Letters To has been a cathartic experience to put together, and I hope people enjoy listening to it as much as I do.
