Program notes
“Holy Teatime Cannonball” is an alternative-rock EP that seeks to reflect the complex and sometimes confusing experience of being a human. The music shifts between moments of trepidation, challenge, and tranquility and combines sincere emotional intent with surreal and oblique lyrics. I drew inspiration from artists like Jeff Buckley, Elliott Smith, and Radiohead during the creative process, so you may hear hints of their sonic and stylistic influence as you listen. I used a combination of home and studio recording in creating this EP, and great care was taken in the performance and production, aiming to convey very personal yet universal feelings and emotions.
