Program notes

Echoes In Time is an EP focused on pressing societal and political issues. Using digital techniques, I have worked largely by myself on recording this EP, exploring the genre of progressive metal through both clean and heavy guitar and vocals.

Apocalypse directly challenges people’s perceptions of climate change. It involves a range of clean and heavy vocal techniques, with similarly clean and heavy guitar. I will be performing this song with my group (Matt, Noah, Daniel and Ryley).

Mass Hysteria debates the negative effects of the internet and social media on the political education of young teenagers. In recent years, this issue has become more widespread, as harmful opinions spread like wildfire online.

Echoes Of Time is a commentary on the future of our world, and the longing for what has already been lost. It lyrically ties together the EP, begging for more action for our future.
