Ricky Joseski is a motivated songwriter and performer finally creating his debut EP called Ebb and Flow. Ricky has been playing guitar for 8 years and drums for 6, continuously honing his skills to be the musician he his is today. Ricky has also been researching and practising audio engineering for 5 years, by recording, mixing and mastering his own songs as well as others, with professional studio ,me under his belt.
The title of my EP is called “Ebb and Flow”. The definition of Ebb and Flow is a “recurrent pattern of coming and going or decline and regrowth”, and I used that notion of “highs” and “lows” to reflect life itself, and represented it through the three tracks within my EP. The first single “Ambition”, a song about my naivety, my optimistic view on life, and the sheer certainty I had for the future. Second single “Reality Check”, a personal song about my Sleep terrors and its affects on my mental health and perception of life. Finally, the third single called “The Cycle”, is a song about the realisation that life has its moments, good and bad, and truly accepting that within yourself. This short, though impactful EP has something for everybody, made in a professional studio utilising a range of amps, synths and post production intricacies. I really hope you enjoy it! Special thanks to: Trent Bendeich for Vocals on the EP, and Jack Andrews, Myrtle Sebastian and Trent Bendeich for playing “Ambition” live with me.
