Juniette Roa Blanco is a singer songwriter who is in her third year of university doing a bachelor of creative arts majoring in music. Her music is about life experiences and worldly issues with Latin American and western influences. She is a bilingual singer and passionate musician.
My project is a mini album- three piece EP about life experiences, mental health and worldly issues all combined. In my pieces the performers include myself as the main vocalist and composer, Rachel as pianist and vocalist on harmonies and myrtle playing drums and guitar.
The album is called ‘I am’ based of the first song of my EP which is a complete English song about depression and trauma. This song involves piano, drums and vocals.
The second song called ‘Lo siento’ is a song completely in Spanish which explores PTSD. This song has vocals,piano and guitar.
My third piece named ‘Do as I say’ is about abuse and the #savethechildren movement. This is a bilingual song in Spanish and English which has vocals and piano.
