Artist bio
Lauren Beasley is a singer-songwriter from Southern Highlands, Australia. She specialises in heartstring lyrics and down to earth vocals. Lauren frequently takes part in Open Mic nights and competitions, including taking first place in a Solo Artists competition held by the UOW Uni Bar in February 2021.

‘Where The Flowers Fall’ is an accumulation of all the skills I have learned throughout my degree. It is also a realisation of my personality as an artist.
For the concept, I imagined stories from a fictional place called ‘Where the Flowers Fall‘. A setting that is beautiful and simple in its appearance but holds a deeper history as the flowers drop off the stems when winter comes. Each song represents a different story from this place.
My main musical concern was creating a project that felt entirely like me, so I used the techniques and tools I was comfortable with. The biggest challenge was translating what the stories sounded like in my head into music. I recorded it all in my home studio using just a mic, guitar, an audio interface, and a midi keyboard.
I also set out to create a physical product of my music on a CD for this project. Which I did by designing and printing graphic material and writing CD’s
