Ashton Low
Ashton is a drummer who likes to experiment with unconventional time signatures and meters in his music. He grew up in Wollongong and is influenced by bands such as King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard and Feed Me Jack. His style of composition is that of jamming until the music finds him.
“My project was created through playing with my bandmates in a series of jam sessions, where I would come up with an idea and then we would improvise over an idea until we created a section we liked. At that point, I would come up with a different section that fits the previous section. This way of creating is something that I really enjoy as it allows for the creativity of my bandmates to be expressed. The tracks have a jammy feel that feels free from constriction.”
