She has always been interested in the musical arts and her passion for music only grew as she got older. She currently sings and writes music in her band The Huneez based in Wollongong&nbsp;alongside teaching singing and piano to students.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>My project is a solo exploratory piece that aims to engage with traditional performative elements alongside midi triggering. I want to create a soundscape of pop and electronic sounds, by singing and playing keyboard while using an Ableton launchpad in my performance. \u2018I\u2019m Okay Too\u2019 started with lyrics with a concept that expresses this overall fear that I feel a lot of people can relate to where you don\u2019t want to let your guard down and potentially get hurt by the people your closest&nbsp;to, but then I\u2019m also reminding myself in the song that it\u2019s okay to find a place where you are happy with just being alone with yourself.&nbsp;\u202fThese ideas have come to light through the musical decisions I made by weaving together strong vocal melodies,&nbsp;piano harmonies&nbsp;and&nbsp;an electronic beat to build the song.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-soundcloud wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-soundcloud wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"I&#039;m Okay Too by Kaitlin Lawler\" width=\"1140\" height=\"400\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"no\" src=\"https:\/\/w.soundcloud.com\/player\/?visual=true&#038;url=https%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F933939529&#038;show_artwork=true&#038;maxwidth=1140&#038;maxheight=1000&#038;dnt=1\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kaitlin is a singer songwriter, who has been singing and playing piano since a young age.
