It is rather difficult to create sounds and string together a series of chords that don\u2019t sound happy on the ukulele just because of the timbre of the instrument. Its difference in material (Nylgut) from the guitar and the absence of two extra strings drastically change what sounds the uke can create. Often so the uke looks and sounds much like a toy instrument that is incapable of creating a sad sound. The goal for my EP\/AV project titled <em>Thoughts &amp; Feelings<\/em> with two pieces titled <em>Can\u2019t Change <\/em>and <em>Red Tape<\/em> was to create emotional music with a combination of minor and major chords on the ukulele to challenge what a uke is expected to sound like. With this I also combined my two greatest passions of music and film making and produced two music videos to accompany the pieces. They are to be experienced as one.
