Artist bio<\/strong>
Kate is a creative, passionate singer who has been singing for 7 years, while also accompanying herself with piano and guitar. Her main genre of singing is within the blues, jazz, and soul realm. She takes influence from singers such as Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin. She hopes her 7 and half minute long song can spread awareness of body image as well as the reality of life in lockdown during COVID-19.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Program notes<\/strong>
I have created a 7 and half minute long piece with accompanying music video, addressing the issues surrounding body image and the challenging reality of lockdown in Australia and the world during the last 2 years. I have included photos of family and friends as an example of how photographs are all we have to hold onto during this sad time. From not being able to connect with people in person to also being able to accept ourselves and our beauty in the eye of a camera. All the photos are very natural, non-edited smiling photographs capturing the beauty of those around me. I was able to use guitar, synth, and voiced flute within my piece, edited in Garage Band and iMovie. I am very happy with the final result and can\u2019t wait to show my progress and work.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
